Shout out to my hubby!

Just wanted to let Zane know how much I love him.  It has not been the easiest month for us. (I'm going to be glad to see January over with)  We are in the middle of changing jobs,  it's been a little scary with a new little baby on the way!   But I think in the long run it will be the best for are family! 

He is such a wonderful husband!  He is my gentle giant!   I am so glad that we ended up together!   He keeps me on my toes, and would do ANYTHING for us!   He has sacrificed so much for our little family.  He drives 2 hours a day to and from work.  He has  been doing that for 5 years.  I never once heard him complain.  He can be friends with anyone in 5 minutes after meeting them.  And he is so smart!  His brain is always going, and sometimes it's hard to keep up with him.   

When we were engaged to get married he was accepted to "Border Patrol"  they wanted him to report on the day we were getting married.  He said, "no"  and the rest is history!   I think his life ( and mine ) would have  been so different right now if he took that position.  I'm glad we got married, I guess everything works out in the end. 

Sleep over!!

About 2-3 times a month we have a "sleep over" at our house.  At least that is what my kids call it!  We bring all their beds downstairs, pop popcorn and watch a movie as a family!   They love it!  Just seeing them get so excited watching their dad bring each one of their beds down makes me smile.

Even Morgan's little bed comes down, she doesn't want to miss out on the fun!

33 weeks and counting

Today I went to the doctor's for my check-up.  Everything looks good.  The baby's  heart beat is strong and steady.  I am measuring right were I should be.  I can't believe that I am 33 weeks!  It went by so fast, but for some reason these last 5-6 weeks are really dragging. Maybe it's the cold weather, and long month of January?   And what is it about ice?  Every night I crave it! I think I'm driving Zane nuts always chomping on ice.
I'm stepping out of my comfort zone, so I had Zane take a picture of my belly.

Big huh!!!   My last boy was 9lb 3 oz.  I feel like he is bigger....I guess we will see!  We still can't decide on a name.  Boy names are hard for us at the Mitchell house!  I like the name Kade  and Zane likes the name Quinn.


Morgan is getting so big!  She LOVES to get in the bathtub!  You mention it to her she is all ready trying to get her clothes off.   She got out of the tub tonight, all by herself and she wanted to brush her teeth.  She looked so big with just her towel on, standing there brushing her teeth.  So I ran and got my camera.

Ty

I wanted to post Ty's 5th birthday!!!  I am a little late since his Birthday was on the 23rd of December!   Each year we try very hard to make his day special. ( It's hard to have a birthday right before Christmas.)  We stop thinking about Christmas and go and do something fun! This year we went to "Incredible Pizza" it was a blast!    After which we came home and opened presents and had cake and ice cream.  For some reason Ty has always liked the movie "Shrek"  So thats what he wanted for his birthday cake.

What can I say about are Ty Ty!!!  He definitely has a mind of his own.... sometimes it gets him in trouble.  He hates bedtime!!  BUT he is always the first asleep and always the first to wake up.  He always kisses and hugs me goodbye... I hope he never out grows that.  Ty gets embarrassed very easily! Just singing "Happy Birthday" he got a little shy!

Ty loves his brothers and sister!  Ty is always by Brody, they do everything together.   They are the best of buddies!  

I love Ty's smile!  It seriously warms my heart when he looks up at me with his smile.

Ty is going to be so mad at me for sharing this.  When he was little he got the biggest zit on his nose.  If you touched it he would scream so loud!  I had to take a picture so he would never forget.

Frost Christmas Party

This year at are family Christmas party we had some elves come and visit us.  Their names were Rebecca and Chris.  They brought string with them to remind the kids to be good!  They tied a piece to their little fingers so they wouldn't forget.   My kids totally ate that up.  Notice the string on Chris's fingers, I guess he is one forgetful elf!  ;-)   After the elves left Santa and Mrs. Claus came over to visit.

Since it is Ty's Birthday on the 23rd he got "birthday spankings" from Santa Claus. I don't think he was expecting that because he looked like he was going to cry after.

He said, " that he wasn't going to cry and that he was fine".  I think it just took him off guard for a minute.  All my kids sat in Santa's lap, but Morgan.  She was in one of her moods and didn't want anything to do with it.

We ate lots of good food and sang a lot of Christmas Songs.  Even the big kids had fun.

Letters from Santa

The other day I went to get the mail and low and behold there was four letters from Santa Claus.  All four of my kids got one!  

I love the  magic of Christmas! 

New Carpet!!

Yeah!  We got new carpet in the family room.    This is before the new carpet! 

Lots of stains and dirt.  This is gross, but when we were pulling it up there was a spider living underneath it.  It was time to get new carpet.

Now when you walk on it, you feel like you are bouncing on the ground. It's going to be nice to have, with are new little baby on the way.    I love new carpet!!
